What do I need to do to get started? You’ll need to come see me at my office, located at 98 Broadway, Corner Brook, NL to register and pay your fees. You will also need running shoes, a water bottle (a 20 ounce Camelback hydration system is also a good idea but not mandatory), comfortable workout attire, a backpack (to carry 5-10lbs) for “Hell Week,” a set of 5 – 10lb dumbbells (Winter classes only!), and a positive attitude. What kind of people attend Combat Fitness? People from all age groups, all walks of life, every fitness level, and every shape and size! Men and women, fit and unfit attend our boot camps. So there's NO excuse! YOU can do this!!! If you are looking to make improvements in your overall physical appearance and well-being, you're at the right place! You will feel more energized in your everyday life and you will look and feel more confident about yourself. Plus you will be meeting others like yourself and there is a great benefit in a common purpose Military Boot camp sounds scary, do you yell at us? I only yell motivating, positive affirmations, uplifting quotes, and I convince, not confront. My aim is to keep you focused on the task at hand, not to abuse and harrass. I didn’t enjoy being yelled at during my time in the military and I’m sure you won’t enjoy being yelled at either. However, if you want positive reinforcement then come and enjoy the camaraderie of a non-competitive group workout at Combat Fitness. I am a very self-motivated person, so why should I pay you to make sure I work out every day when I already do? You may work out every day, but do you get the most out of your workout? Our program will help those who need motivation to work out regularly, but it will also provide someone like you, who already has the discipline to exercise on a regular basis, with that extra boost to get you faster, stronger, and fitter than ever before. What is your refund policy? We do not refund payment. However, we will defer any unused portion of your Boot Camp to another date. If you miss a day here and there during Boot Camp you will not be credited these days unless previously arranged. I am overweight and out of shape, I’m afraid I’ll hold everyone back, should I get in shape before I sign up? No, absolutely not. This program is specifically designed to meet the needs of inactive and active adults. Through teamwork and motivation, EVERYONE will get pushed to the next level of fitness. All we want is for you to give your best effort on that particular day. We do not compare you to anyone else--we are here to make sure you are fulfilling YOUR potential and doing YOUR best.
